Digital Media Player (DMP) Solutions
ESS Technology’s single-chip DMP solution is a new generation of
high performance audio/photo/video decoder for playback of high definition
and high resolution photos, high quality music, and high bitrate videos
from flash memory cards, hard disks, and USB storage devices. With their
enhanced video engine, the DMP chips playback MPEG1, MPEG2, and MPEG-4 ASP
video. The DMP chips are ideal for stand-alone media players as well as
for TV-embedded players. They incorporate a high-quality deinterlacer and
a TV encoder that supports HD photos to display up to 720p/1080i pictures
in their native resolution.

Digital Audio Processor (DAP) Solutions
ESS Technology’s single-chip DAP solutions represent a new generation
of high performance audio decoder designed for Audio Boom-Box and Mini-Combo
applications. They integrate a servo controller, RF amplifier, servo DSP,
MP3 and WMA decoders, USB 2.0 driver, 2 channel audio DAC, 2 channels of
audio ADC for Karaoke, SD/MS/MMC card reader, and MP3 encoder. These DAP
solutions have the largest feature set and are the most highly integrated
and cost effective solutions currently available.
