Step-by-Step Procedures for Upgrading Drivers
to Fix the No-Dial-Out Problem

  1. Determine the Operation System that your computer is using: Window98SE, WindowsME, Windows2000, or WindowNT4.0. Click on the START button on your computer screen to find out.

  2. For illustration purposes, Window98SE will be used as the operating system of choice. Chick on Win98_Fix.exe download button from the table at the buttom of this page showing the different driver patches.



  3. Choose Save the program to disk.



  4. Click OK.

  5. The following window appears:



  6. Click the pull down button. Then select C: from the list then double-click the Temp folder.



  7. Your window should look like this:



  8. Click Save. Then the following window appears:



  9. Double-click My Computer from your desktop.



  10. Double-click C:. Then double-click the Temp folder, find the file Win98_Fix.exe you just down loaded, and double-click it.



  11. The driver upgrade process starts with (a) the self-extraction of the driver file and the upgrade utility program and followed by (b) the driver upgrade.

  12. Once the driver upgrade is completed, the following screen will appear. Click on OK to automatically reboot you system and start using the new driver.



  13. Click OK. Your system will restart automatically.
