ESS Technology Unveils the World’s Highest Performing Audio CODEC, the SABRE ES9292PRO. Designed for uncompromising performance, flexibility and precision audio signal processing.

August 5th, 2026 – San Jose, California – ESS Technology, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance audio semiconductors, today announced the ES9292PRO, a fully integrated audio SMART CODEC designed for applications that demand the highest levels of signal fidelity.

The SABRE® ES9292PRO builds on the Hyperstream® IV architecture pioneered in the flagship PRO stereo ADCs/DACs and combines them to deliver an astounding True DNR of +128dB/+130dB and a THD+N of -118/-118dB for ADC/DAC respectively. An integrated Clock Upsampler and patented Analog PLL work together to recover audio clocks, minimizing jitter and preserving signal integrity throughout the conversion chain while maintaining the ADC and DAC performance.

The SMART CODEC incorporates ESS Technology’s 2nd generation Audio Signal Processors (ASP2) on both the ADC/DAC data paths. These features allow customers to target their audio requirements, by optionally integrating multi-band PEQs, MIXERs, Audio Expanders and Compressors (DRC), AGL, stereo widening, SABREXBASS enhancement and other specialty filters optimized with AI tools. ESS’ SABRE Intelligence Studio (SI Studio) GUI with AI capability reduces programming complexity of the ASP2 and reduces or eliminates customer DSP requirements.
